Privacy Policy

Placeholder — requires legal review

This page summarizes how the application is designed to handle data. It is not a final privacy policy and must be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, optional display name, followed topics, and privacy preferences.
  • Membership data: subscription status and billing period. Payment details are handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
  • Questions: questions you submit to Ask The Room and the founder's responses. These are private to you and the founder.
  • Saved items and, only if you opt in, reading history. You can clear history at any time.
  • Usage analytics: first-party, aggregate events (for example, that an article was opened). We do not store IP addresses or use third-party advertising trackers, and we honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

How we use it

To operate your account, deliver membership features, respond to your questions, send transactional emails, and — only with consent — send the editorial newsletter.

Service providers

[To be completed after legal review: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI-assisted classification of public source material; member questions are not sent to AI services).]

Your choices

[To be completed after legal review: access, correction, deletion, data export, retention periods, jurisdiction-specific rights, and contact details.]
